Carb Back-Loading Overall I would recommend this book and it gets five stars for being so clear, giving such a huge amount of information and also for the amount of scientific research that has gone in to it. With Carb Back-Loading, boo finally have a scientific system that comes completely assembled. He believes post-workout, high carb, high calorie meals in the evening are best. In fact, I feel even better than on past diets that were meant to help me build muscle.

Perhaps the only downside to this book is that it is already outdated in certain segments and Carb Back-Loading 2. He answers all those questions on what to eat and when in detail. A great second book to Carb-Nite, for when you are ready for more.. Or need more energy or are trying to kick-butt in the gym while eating low carb.

John Kiefer: Carb Back-Loading – #19
It is a very quick read with a good amount of science spread throughout the book. He also provides ample references in the index should anyone feel inclined to look into the source info themselves. They make lots of things grow like fat cells and muscle cells. Normal Conditions According to Kiefer, upon waking, the body has a hormonal milieu that is primed to burn fat.
