Quite a character Tekere was and the following things he said stood out for me and I wonder if they are accurate: 1. Zanu was formed after Nkomo suspended the Zapu leadership which was against him. Ironically, Nkomo led to the formation of Zanu. Ndabaningi Sithole encouraged fellow Zanu leaders I had been looking forward to reading this book which has been out of print for years.

They refused and the Rev suspended them all. RGM had refused to vote against the sacking of Rev Sithole, only agreeing to do so after being blackmailed by Tekere and Co. Mugabe never campaigned for the ouster of Sithole. After independence, Tekere advised RGM against fighting Renamo but to just mediate, as Renamo had assisted them during the war.
